Dr. David Miner
Dr. David Miner has been our pastor since 1992. He had been an elder in the church since 1985. He is a graduate of Wheaton College (B.A. 1966), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.A. 1970), and Southern Illinois University (Ph.D. 1978). He has taught philosophy and theology to laymen and pastors. Currently he serves as Stated Clerk for the PCA’s Metropolitan New York Presbytery. He and Kippy have six children and many grandchildren.

Ruling Elders: James Macbeth, Walter Morris, Wade Speas
Covenant Presbyterian Church follows the New Testament pattern of government by a Session of Ruling Elders. These men, elected by the congregation, meet rigid spiritual requirements set forth in I Timothy 3, and assume full spiritual authority for the congregation. The Session also includes the Pastor. The Session has supervision over all activities and actions of the church.

In Acts 6, the Apostles instructed the Church to pick out men of good character, full of the Spirit and wisdom, to provide for the physical needs of the congregation. Under the supervision of the Session, the Deacons tend to the mercy and financial ministries of the church.
